We’re both doctors, but we move through our days very differently. He loves his white coat and sticks to it. I live in scrubs. For me, scrubs aren’t just a uniform. I’m in them for long hours, moving constantly, bending, sitting, walking, and doing a hundred things in between. What I wear has to be comfortable, fit well, and still look put together by the end of the day. That’s why @fableticsscrubs has become my go-to. The fabric stretches and moves with me, the fit is flattering without feeling tight, and the styles are actually cute instead of boxy or stiff. They’re also water-repellent, which matters more than people realize when you’re working long shifts. I don’t have to think about my clothes while I’m working, and that makes a difference. I rotate through different colors during the week because I like having options that feel fresh but still practical. The newest color, Rose Quartz, is already a favorite. I was a little worried this fabric would be difficult to make this pattern with because of it’s thickness through the collar details and belt loops but it worked out great and didn't give me any problems! So happy to start the year off with this project! My goal is to make pieces that I dream of owning even if they intimidate me to attempt but I love the feeling when you finish those types of projects! They said it was just before sunrise when an aged blue-grey pitbull appeared at the shelter gates… limping, trembling— but moving with the stubborn determination that only exists in those who have already lost too much. His strong body carried signs of exhaustion, his coat dusty and tangled from nights spent on cold concrete. His big paws were cracked. But his tail—just the very tip— still wagged, like a tiny piece of hope refusing to die. That was the first miracle. The second was the note. Tied around his thick neck with a fading red string— the kind you use when you don’t have anything better left. When the staff unfolded the crumpled paper, their hands trembled. > “Please take care of my pitbull boy. I can’t anymore. He once saved my life… but now I’m afraid I’ll hurt him.” No name. No explanation. Just a confession from someone quietly drowning. The system had named him Shadow, but the note revealed his real name—Milo. And for the first 72 hours, this big, strong, heartbroken pitbull didn’t bark. Didn’t eat. Didn’t explore. He just lay beside the door— lifting his head whenever footsteps approached, and lowering it again each time they weren’t his footsteps. He wasn’t waiting for a new home. He was waiting for his person. It was unbearable to watch. On day four, a volunteer knelt beside him and gently cupped his heavy head— and Milo seemed to melt from the inside.
