Here it is 👇 If you’re someone who doesn’t talk about your bowel movements… we need to change that. 🥝 Because constipation is one of the most common complaints I see in women — and it’s also one of the most dismissed. Here’s what most people don’t know: chronic constipation in women is rarely just about not drinking enough water. It can be a sign of low progesterone, sluggish thyroid function, dysbiosis in the gut, or simply not enough of the right kind of fibre. And that’s where kiwi fruit comes in- Two kiwis. That’s it. Here’s why it works: Kiwi contains a unique enzyme called actinidin, which helps break down protein and speeds up gastric emptying. It’s also rich in soluble fibre that feeds your beneficial gut bacteria and draws water into the stool — making everything move a whole lot easier. Unlike harsh laxatives that your gut can become dependent on, kiwi works with your body. So if you’re someone who: - Goes less than once a day - Strains or feels incomplete after going - Relies on coffee just to get things moving - Bloats after almost every meal Try two green kiwis daily for two weeks and notice the difference. Most people don’t realise mould can grow inside medjool dates 👀 I’ve been eating dates for years and this is the first time I’ve seen this, but consider this your friendly PSA to always cut them open before eating! Dates are naturally high in sugar and moisture, which creates the perfect environment for mould to grow.
Most dates are completely fine, especially when stored correctly (cool, dry, airtight… I keep mine in the fridge). But make sure you open them up and check for: • Black or dark grey patches
• A powdery or dusty residue
• A musty smell
• Any “puff” of dark dust when opened If you see any of the above, it goes straight in the bin! Black mould is pretty toxic and if consumed can lead to respiratory problems, allergic reactions and other health issues. This is especially important if you’re sensitive to mould or dealing with mould-related illness, as this can be an unexpected source. 💌Share this with a friend who loves eating dates to save them from an unexpected surprise! #medjooldates #mould #healthtips #naturopath #moldillness
