Recruiting agencies like NCSA, CaptainU allow you to send emails and messages directly through their app/software which is the BIGGEST mistake you can ever make. College coaches should NEVER know you are using a recruiting agency to contact them. It shows them that you are not actually doing the work, but rather a company doing everything for you. You will always wonder, what if I actually sent that email from my own account? Would I have gotten a response?
The College Soccer Guy is NOT a recruiting agency. We are simply an education system, that gives the exact direction to take, what to say, and fixing your videos 24/7 every single day. Coaches NEVER know you are working with us, but we are always in your ear, and a single text or call away to tell you exactly what to do in any situation you are in.
We give you the MOST amount of opportunities and exposure to play college soccer.

Here’s my take on Recruiting Platforms.
There is a platform I love, and that my athletes whom I work with get complimentary access to, and that’s Productive Recruit.
And no, this isn’t NOT me pushing ‘Productive Recruit’, this is not an ad.
This is me wanting to help you create more success in your daughter’s recruiting process while also saving you time and money.
Here is why I like Productive Recruit:
👉🏼 It’s way more affordable.
👉🏼 It is set up in a way that empowers you to take action in your process.
👉🏼 Has every email address of every college coach which is updated monthly (emailing vs. platform messaging is the way to go guys!)
👉🏼 Makes it easy to research schools and their admissions standards.
👉🏼 Helps you stay organized (its like what you wish your excel file was doing for you, in a way way more user friendly). You can track your contacts, and the emails youve sent.
👉🏼 Keeps your target list of schools and everything you need to know about them in one place.
👉🏼 Allows you to create an athletic resume, which acts as living webpage, where college coaches can go to learn all that they need to about you.
While, yes, Im aware other more ‘popular platforms’ do those things too, the difference is the price!
Additionally I see many families get tripped up in some of the ‘features’ of the other platforms - thinking the features will do the work for them in getting recruited - and that just isnt the case.
If you want to get recruited you need to take action in your process. Having a recruiting platform helps keep you organized in that action. That’s it. Period. It doesnt matter what software or platform you are using, there are certain things you need to be doing along the way to create your options that these platforms won’t do for you.

LOSomething to think about…
I was the Director of Recruiting at Missouri and yes we trashed all the NCSA emails and all the recruiting service garbage for one reason.
Why would I trust someone you pay over someone I know or over myself?
You wouldn’t.
But here’s the thing, the recruiting landscape has changed and high school recruits are getting so much less opportunity than 5 years ago so paying for a recruiting business to help you organize your process of emails, how to send them, addresses of coaches in mass, and mentorship through it can be worth it.
You will not get recruited at the D-1 or D-1aa level because you got more exposure from a service.
But guidance you pay for to do it better yourself is something that may benefit you.

KAA lot of companies like NCSA truly don’t have your best intentions at heart. You’re just a number, there’s no connection with your advisors, and you’re often left with nothing.
