THNorth Carolina State University will drop decisions by March 30 - however, don’t be surprised if they drop a little sooner on Friday.
Overall, their total applications are similar to last year - 47,650 (down from 49,350 last year), but kept admit rate pretty consistent 40% (last year 39.5%)
NC State plans to go to their waitlist by June 15
Over the past few years they have waitlisted 8-10k students and 275-475 had been admitted from WL.

This year they received 36,790 applications, which was similar to last year.
🎉 In late December, NC State dropped 5,100 admitted decisions, and the remaining 8k+ in January.
While they did not share in-state vs OOS data, the state of North Carolina maintains an 82/18 rule - only enrolling 18% out-of-state students.
🔥NC State admits by major - thus looking simply at the admit rate may be deceiving depending on how popular your major was and the space available.
Also, in some of the more competitive majors, like Engineering, students tended to submit test scores at higher rates.

NC State converts high school transcripts to a weighted 4.0 scale, adding points for rigor (1 for AP/IB/College, 0.5 for Honors)
NC State is test-optional for applicants above a 2.8 GPA
