Hey friends and fam, in case you’re wondering where I am, and what’s the plan… I’m back in Vietnam! 🇻🇳 On a one-way ticket this time. This video that I shared on TikTok the other day (to all 7 of my followers 😂) kinda sums it up. It also seems to have hit a nerve with 70,000 views and hundreds of comments from complete strangers, either wishing me well or wishing they were doing the same. I’ve always been a sucker for freedom, but I was feeling stuck in Sydney, working to pay rent with no time to build my health coaching business. So when I had to move out of my apartment a year ago, I decided to spend 2025 figuring things out. 11 months and 3 return trips later, I’ve no idea where all this is going, but I’m gonna give it my best shot and am happy to take my chances. I came out publicly at 38 (and divorced shortly after). I started hockey at 40. So when someone tells me they’re “too late” to transition, try something new, or start over… I already know the answer. You’re not late. You’re right on time. The only thing that’s ever truly late is waiting to believe you’re allowed to begin. Sit with it. The dance is fast pace and includes hip movements that don’t exactly come naturally to me 🤔 I’ve been practising it for a while. It’s still not perfect. But what I learned about reclaiming dance at 42 is this: The challenge is the point. There is magic in the decision to just show up. To not be afraid to be seen trying. To not wait until you feel ready but to dance your way into “being ready”. I love this quote: There is no greater illusion than thinking the accomplishment of a goal will change your life. It took me 10 years… If you’re new here.. I’ve been making videos since I was a kid. I never saw it as a career when I went to college and ended up pursuing a career in the insurance industry. Meanwhile I was always filming my life, from every trip I took, to fun montages of weekends with friends, to real estate videos and filming weddings.. I worked a 9-5 for almost 10 years from the day I graduated to now.. I saw value in building a sustainable career and learning how the corporate world works. I never was in a sales role, so I did anything i could do to make some side income. My side gigs consisted in freelance videography, video editing, and I even sold aquarium rocks from my backyard! I’ve always had a desire to become something greater just never knew how.. So what did I do? I went to work, did the right things, stayed consistent in work and my passion and eventually things worked out… If you’re seeing this.. this is your sign that it’s never too late to start. Stay the course, keep showing up, and eventually you’ll find your way. If I could do it, so can you. Wishing you good fortune in 2026 🙏 #motivation #career #nevertoolate
