A wild experience 🇱🇰 Disclaimer below ⬇️ Disclaimer/Further context: We expected the safari to be calm with distant observations of the wildlife, the rushing and crowding was a shock and unexpected. We had very little communication with our driver throughout the day (he was in the ute cabin with windows up) and we didn't request there to be any rush or manic (we even asked to move on). While we are greatful for the opportunity to see a leopard, we would have liked to avoid the panic but unfortunately we did not have any control over the experience. We hope this footage brings awareness to the crowding so the Yala National Park can regulate further to protect wildlife well-being while so supporting the tourism industry. Sri Lanka and its people are so so so beautiful and are experiencing more tourism than ever, this comes with uncharted territory for them too. So we hope they can make changes for the better along the way ❤️

Transcript: “The halftime show was awful, There were no English captions.” Some people have been complaining... The tables have turned. As a Deaf person, this year was great! One of my favorites! This year, not everyone understood the language being performed. Some didn’t understand the words, just enjoyed the music. That’s what Deaf people tend to do FYI. This year was unique because I see people complaining about what they missed. As a Deaf person, I watched the signed Puerto Rican dialect performance and felt I gained a deeper level of understanding to Bad Bunny’s music and culture through the interpretation. Usually its the opposite. My access to something > other peoples access. That never happens. Hopefully this discussion about captioning only leads more engagement and understanding about accessibility.
