Congratulations @ohwhata.knit on the release of their #superbasictee knitting pattern! I had the pleasure of test knitting for Tatjana, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the final garment. The shape and size is perfect for a, well, super basic tee, and as super basic tees goes, this one is so versatile. I used 6.5 skeins (~1330m) of Tynd kindly gifted from @woolfolk_yarn — such a lovely, lofty merino. Black yarn might look just like black yarn, but I gasped when I received it! My bust measures 82cm, and the pattern measurements put me in a “Small”. My final tee has 40cm of positive ease. Mods: In the sleeves, I did one fewer set of decreases because I have such short arms. For the body, I knit 5 fewer rows than stated in the pattern.

Top 3 T-Shirt Sewing Pattern ✨ I’ve been a quest to finding and making a t-shirt that is my style and fits me well. My favorite RTW t-shirt is Madewell’s Vintage Tee, which they no longer carry. I wanted something that was somewhat classic in style, round neck and comfortable sleeves that didn’t suffocate the pits. After selecting, making and trying several t-shirt patterns here are my top three. And might I add they’re all free patterns! ***All tees styled with fitted trousers to show how they can be tucked, which is typically how I style tees when wearing to work. 1st T-Shirt: @common_stitch #SparrowTee in @lyricalfabrics Abby Cotton Pointelle. Looser silhouette, boat neckline (wider neckline), slightly dropped shoulders. 2nd T-Shirt: @closetcorepatterns #ClosetCoreTShirt in Lyrical Fabric’s Chloe Cotton Pointelle. Slightly boxy with a crew neckline.
