TEAPI Testing - Day 3: REST stands for Representational State Transfer, is an architectural style for designing networked applications. REST is based on a set of principles that emphasize simplicity, scalability, and statelessness.

HTTP Methods: HTTP defines a set of request methods to indicate the desired action to be performed for a given resource.
Get - Request data from a specified resource.
Post - Send data to a server to create/update a resource
Put - Send data to a server to update a resource.
Delete - Deletes the specified resource from server.
Patch - Apply partial modifications to a resource.
Head - Retrieve the resource header without the response body.
HTTP Status Code:
1xx: Information [ 100 Continue - server has received the request headers, and the client should proceed to send the request body]
2xx: Successful [ 200 OK - The request is OK ]
3xx: Redirection [ 301 Moved Permanently - Requested page has moved to a new URL ]
4xx: Client Error [ 404 Not Found - The requested page could not be found ]
5xx: Server Error [ 500 Internal Server Error - A generic error message, given when no more specific message is suitable ]
