4XLet's build a #RayHunter Again, but this time, using Windows.
RayHunter is a project that can help you detect cellular spying techniques used by ICE, Law Enforcement and high-tech criminals using inexpensive hardware like this Orbic RC-400L.
The RayHunter wiki has easy-to-follow install instructions. Once you've reviewed those, open the RayHunter GitHub Releases, then download the windows installer ZIP file.
Plug your HotSpot into your computer, navigate to the USB Options menu and enable USB Tethering. Also take note of the admin password in the wifi menu, you'll need it later.
Once you've extracted the ZIP file. Right-Click and select "Open In Terminal"
Run installer.exe orbic --admin-password followed by the hotspot password.
The reboot can take a minute or two, but after it boots up, you'll eventually see a green bar at the top of the display. That means RayHunter is running. The bar turns red when suspicious cellular activity is found that you should investigate.
The Web portal for RayHunter is on port 8080. Browsing to it gives you more detail and the ability to download logs to share with the Electronic Frontier Foundation if you believe you've encountered cellular spying.
