I safely carried my quadruplets for 33 and a half weeks inside my belly and as of today they have been out for 33 and a half weeks. They were all born healthy and well between 4.5 to 5 pounds each, making a total of 18.75 pounds of just baby inside of me (not including 4 placentas and 4 sacs 🤯). They spent 3 weeks in the NICU as “feeder growers” and were discharged and brought home before they were even 37 weeks gestation! Today I carry my babies in my arms with immense joy and peace and gratitude for their health and for the beautiful souls they are that have forever changed me. They are all between 15.5-19 pounds for a whopping 68 pounds total. They are 2 girls and 2 boys and were a planned pregnancy but also a completely spontaneous “natural” one as I had absolutely zero other risk factors for multiples and no fertility treatment. They have an amazing 3 year old big sis who is absolutely obsessed with them and I feel a “pinch me” moment multiple times a day. How lucky I am to love you and to be loved by you. LISTEN HERE ANY JUDGY MCJUDGERSONS, this post aint for you 😂 But here’s something I never thought I’d have to do… until I did 🙌 Just a single day home with all 4 quadruplets from the NICU taught us real fast that there was no other way to survive this crazy new life except by feeding all the babies at once. The NICU taught us a really safe, elevated side lying feeding position and we combined this exact position with a propped bottle, while staying just inches away for the whole feed so we could safely monitor them and get their feeds all done at the same time. As newborns, each feed would take 30-60 minutes to get through just a single 3-5oz bottle with careful pacing and several pauses to burp each baby during and at the end, and then to hold upright the ones who were extra refluxy after, and with many rounds of diaper changes (before feeds, after feeds, sometimes in between feeds 🫠). Sometimes an outfit change or two because of blowouts or spit up. Followed by some snuggles and “play time”, and eventually babies went back to sleep for a nap. Then, it would start all over again about 2-2.5 hours later. If we had only done one baby at a time, and each baby took 30-60 minutes each, but they all needed to be fed every 3 ish hours… there literally would not have been enough hours in the day to do just that even if I didn’t need any sleep, or food, or bathroom breaks myself… which like… duh 😵‍💫 Fortunately though, we didn’t have to feed them propped like this all the time, because our incredible village walked in the door so so often and gave us an extra set of hands or two so we could hold the babies during feeds. But I tell ya - if we hadn’t have done many propped feeds, no one would’ve survived, and that’s not even an exaggeration 👀🤣🫶☺️ Parents of multiples, tell me something you never thought you’d do… until you had to! ⬇️💛 #quadruplets #parenting #parentsofmultiples #babies #twins

Still undecided which was tougher though: 18.75 pounds of babies (plus 4 placentas and 4 sacs!) inside, or chasing 98 pounds of toddler tornados around all day 🌪️😅🤍 I have all the babies in the same order on clips 2 and 3 and seeing how much they’ve changed absolutely slows me down today… the years really are SO fast 🥺 Will I be able to repeat this reel in another year?? #quadruplets #parenting #parentsofmultiples #babies #family

Twin sleep was the biggest source of stress for me in the beginning. Not the feeding. Not the diapers. The nights. Here’s what I wish someone had told me earlier: 1️⃣ If your twins wake every 1-2 hours, it’s usually not hunger. After ~4 months, most babies wake between sleep cycles, and twins do it together if they share the same sleep cues. 2️⃣ Feeding or rocking works… but it teaches how they fall asleep. So when they stir later, they both look for the same help again. 3️⃣ Short night feeds aren’t “failures.” They’re information, often comfort, not calories. 4️⃣ Twin sleep doesn’t improve by accident. It improves when you gently teach two babies how to settle, in a way that works for twins, not singletons. When I changed one small thing at bedtime 🌙 everything shifted. ✨ Wake ups stopped syncing ✨ Sleep stretches got longer ✨ And I finally felt rested enough to enjoy my twins again You didn’t do anything wrong. Now, they can get in and strapped in all by themselves!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I always say with kids, each season gets easier with something, but new challenges always arise! Overall, loading five kids into the car can seem like a workout on a day to day basis, but only having three to strap in is quite glorious!!! And it’s much easier with @olddan4 help vs solo! Please wish Hannah and Faith good luck — they have tryouts this week for the high school dance team! That’s right… HIGH SCHOOL!! As their parents, we’re feeling a whirlwind of emotions — excited and nervous all at once. Of course, Mommy is more nervous than Daddy! Like many couples, our late-night pillow talk often revolves around our girls — how to encourage them to dream big, set goals, and believe in themselves. We always remind them: if they can say they gave their best, that’s what truly matters. Looking back on last season, we are beyond proud of how much they’ve overcome. Hannah started the year battling shingles, dancing through unbearable pain without ever backing down. Then, in the middle of competition season, Faith was hit with an ear infection, strep throat, and the flu — all at once! Yet, these girls rarely missed a practice or strength training session. As parents, it’s natural to want to push your kids to work harder — but when we see how they rise through adversity, we’re just in awe. They pushed through, and it paid off. They placed in numerous dances, their team made it to State Finals, and they both qualified for Solo State Finals — plus their trio (with Mari) qualified, too! We pray they carry these experiences into the next chapter — growing stronger in their faith, building confidence, learning discipline, and having fun. We hope they continue to lead, uplift others, and be the kind of teammates others look up to. Thank you to our incredible family, friends, coaches, and teammates who continue to support, pray for, and encourage our girls. Go Hannah and Faith — and go HSE Dance Program! PS. That first photo was taken of them was June of 2022. It was the first year that Faith decided to join the HSE junior high dance team. Hannah was still undecided but decided to participate in a summer dance clinic that the dance team hosted. As you can see her tank top says, “Future ROYALS Dance”. Time sure does fly!🥹🥹 P.S.S.
