Meet my Mama! Her name is Cynthia, but we call her Lulu or Mama Lu. And she co-owns the quilt store Patchwork Plus (in Dayton VA ) which is the largest quilt store in VA. Lu and I are co-first generation quilters, as we learned together side by side when I was 12. Lu loves escape rooms, and Snoopy, and Swamp Peopled Serpent Invasion is her trash tv of choice (mine is 90 Day fiancé). Lulu is hysterical, and has the perfect snort laugh. Girlfriend also pieces over 100 quilts a year, I sh*t you not. And they all are samples at her store and the second the last kit sells, that quilt comes down and something else goes up. She’s my kindred spirit and I hope you get to love your mama and laugh as much with your mama as I do with mine! #quilter #patchworkplus #quilting #quiltsofinstagram #quilts

Finally finished cutting and sewing a bajillion little pieces and spent the morning starting on the quilt tops for my #hurryhomexrue coat. I am once again faced with a few decisions to make I’m pretty set on hand quilting this, but am undecided on colors? I’m leaning towards picking a few and matching them to different sections. But I also think all pink could look cute too? For my backing/ lining, I thrifted some fabric that could work perfectly (and saved me some $$.) One is a soft purple @brooklinen sheet and another is a floral target opalhouse sheet. Aaand I also need to decide if I want to use the official sew along label or the matching pink label I previously bought for the project??
