But a founder CAN be removed from their job position (fired as CEO/CTO/etc).
This is because:
* The company is a legal entity separate from you.
* The board of directors controls who works there.
* Even if you built it, the company is not “you” it’s bigger than any one person.
Examples
This is very common:
Steve Jobs was fired from Apple the company he founded.
Travis Kalanick was removed as CEO of Uber the company he founded.
Once investors or the board think your presence creates risk or problems, they can vote to remove you from your role.
So yes it’s very possible and legally so.
