Karena gerakannya yang naik-turun seperti kuda mengangguk, alat ini sering disebut juga pumpjack. Sistem ini digunakan ketika tekanan alami reservoir sudah tidak cukup untuk mendorong fluida (minyak) ke permukaan. ⚙️ Komponen Utama: 1️⃣ Prime Mover (Motor Listrik / Gas Engine) Menggerakkan sistem pompa. 2️⃣ Gear Reducer Menurunkan kecepatan putaran dan meningkatkan torsi. 3️⃣ Walking Beam Lengan ayun yang bergerak naik turun. 4️⃣ Polished Rod & Sucker Rod Meneruskan gerakan ke bawah sumur. 5️⃣ Downhole Pump (Plunger Pump) Pompa yang berada di dalam sumur untuk mengangkat fluida. 🔄 Cara Kerja Singkat: Motor memutar crank → Walking beam bergerak naik turun → Sucker rod ikut bergerak → Plunger di bawah sumur mengisap dan mendorong minyak ke permukaan secara bertahap. Gerakan ini terjadi berulang-ulang sesuai stroke per minute (SPM) yang sudah diatur. ✅ Kelebihan Beam Pump: ✔️ Desain sederhana & tahan lama ✔️ Mudah perawatan ✔️ Cocok untuk sumur dangkal hingga menengah ✔️ Biaya operasional relatif rendah ⚠️ Tantangan: ❌ Kurang efisien untuk sumur sangat dalam ❌ Tidak optimal untuk produksi dengan gas tinggi ❌ Membutuhkan ruang instalasi di permukaan Beam Pump menjadi bukti bahwa teknologi sederhana bisa bertahan puluhan tahun dan tetap relevan dalam operasi produksi migas modern.
