Print & Play Phonics Games to use all year! I just pull out the game or games that focus on the skills we are working on and print them. No need to explain the rules because the format is always the same 👍🏻 only the phonics skills change! I place them in the dry erase pockets and usually put 2 different games (a review skill & a new skill) in one pocket so they can just flip it over and play both games. You can also use them to differentiate skills for remediation and challenges. The best part is that the kids love playing them! Comment phonics games for a link 💗 I think I have 2-3 sets and a big bundle.

Comment “FOUR” and I’ll send you the link to this game bundle! If your students love a little friendly competition, they’re going to love 4 in a Row 🎯 This phonics game turns skill practice into something students actually want to do. Each board targets an important phonics skill across Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade, giving students meaningful practice while they race to get four in a row. These games are designed to help students: • build automatic word recognition • strengthen decoding accuracy • increase reading fluency • reinforce skills from your whole-group phonics lessons • practice independently or with a partner Thank you @thereadingreel for showing this game in action! 🌟 #scienceofreading #phonicsgames #structuredliteracy #ortongillingham #teacherresources

Decoding practice matters. 🔠✨ When students consistently apply their phonics skills in connected, meaningful ways, they build confidence, automaticity, and a stronger understanding of how words actually work. And practice does not have to feel like a drill to be effective. Structured games like Phonics Bingo give students repeated, systematic decoding opportunities while keeping engagement high. The goal is not just fun. It is purposeful repetition that strengthens accuracy and fluency over time. When practice is both playful and intentional, students stay motivated and their reading skills grow. 📚💡 How are you making decoding practice meaningful in your classroom right now? Share below. 💬 If you want these Phonics Bingo games for your students, comment GAMES 🎲 and I’ll send them your way. 🎉

Spin it. Sound it out. Write it! 🎡✏️ Today’s literacy block turned into a game—and my kindergarteners were all in! We spun the wheel, practiced CVC words, stretched the sounds, and wrote each word step-by-step. Simple activities like this build phonics confidence while keeping learning fun and engaging. Watching those “I can read this!” moments never gets old! Easy to prep, fun to play, and packed with real learning. Would your students love this activity? Save this idea for later!

Are you looking for a fun and easy way for your students to practice phonics skills? I’ve got you covered! We use our Print & Play Phonics Games all year long. I just pull out the games that cover the targeted skills we are working on and they’re set to go. The skill changes while the game stays the same. This way there’s no need to explain the rules. We use them in dry erase pockets but you can also use the mini erasers as their game pieces. I have 3 mini sets in my shop as well as a big bundle! Comment phonics games for a link. 💗

Can I share something I’ve learned after years in kindergarten? 💛 If I say, “It’s time to practice phonics,” I can almost predict the groans. But if I say, “Let’s play a game,” everyone leans in. Same kids. Same skills. Completely different energy. That’s why I love seasonal games, because they don’t replace learning… they sneak it in. My St. Patrick’s Day games still work on: ✔️ Letter sounds ✔️ Fluency ✔️ Early math thinking They’re just disguised in rainbows 🌈, clovers 🍀, and a little March magic. So the practice stays strong… but the buy-in skyrockets. And honestly? That’s how kindergarten learning sticks. If you want centers that feel fun and purposeful this March, this pack has you covered. 💚 Comment LUCKY and I’ll send you the link! #literacy4littlelearners #kindergarten #phonics #kindergartenclassroom #kindergartencenters

If you’re teaching your child how to blend sounds, this game is going to change everything! My 4.5-year-old has started reading CVC words, and now we’ve moved on to consonant blends… but I didn’t want boring practice. So here’s what we did 👇 I placed our blend cards on the floor — like a fun little path! Now the game begins… I say a sound — “BR!” And she has to jump on the correct blend! “CR!” 🦘 “BL!” 🦘 “PR!” 🦘 And just like that… learning turns into PLAY 💛 No pressure. No force. Just movement, laughter, and real learning happening together. This simple activity helps kids: ✔️ Recognize blends faster ✔️ Improve sound association ✔️ Stay engaged (no more running away mid-learning 😅) Save this and try it today — your child will LOVE it! 👉 Dm for my learning resources & blend cards Let’s make learning fun and screen-free 💫 [ blending sounds, consonant blends, phonics for kids, early reading skills, CVC words, preschool learning, kindergarten phonics, learn to read, phonics activities, fun learning games, hands on learning, screen free activities, mom life, parenting tips, homeschool ideas, kids learning activities, interactive learning, literacy development, phonics game, learning through play]
