DI#plotparty - Day 3 - glitches - Having watched @littleredbirdlove's mezmerizing reels drawing with a fluid writer, I have been wanting to try one with my pen plotter! I knew it was going to be a little tricky given the small ink reservoir, but figured it would be my experiment for the glitches-errors-bugs prompt! I ended up running this plot and periodically stopping the plotter to add a drop of ink to the reservoir. Tricky to do without adding too much ink or splattering ink on the paper! I was hoping for some more fun gradient glitchy effects but this one turned more into a human intervention plot. I will share a post later today with the different glitchy error prone plots that I made before I finally got my process down!
The gradient of color was done manually by switching between 4 different jars of blue acrylic inks. My metallic inks clogged up the pen so I will have to test out some metallic watercolor inks instead in the future. 💦
It's super mezmerizing watching this pen draw! I can see why calligraphy artists like these funky pens. ✨
This raindrop design was an alternative design I came up with for the weather prompt for Day 1 of Plot Party! Glad I saved it for this fun experiment with this fluid writer pen. 💧
