THI still remember the exact moment it happened.
Twenty-five children sitting in front of me…
all following the same lesson, the same worksheet, the same curriculum page.
And yet—
some rushed through it,
some froze halfway,
some stared at the page, already defeated.
That was the day I realised something I’d never been taught in teacher training:
When you teach everyone the same way, you teach no one.
Because no child learns at the same pace, level, or in the same style.
So I changed everything.
I stopped teaching the curriculum
and started teaching the child.
I adjusted the level.
I changed the order.
I matched the teaching style to the child, not the paper.
And the progress that followed?
Unbelievable.
Children who “hated learning” suddenly leaned in.
Children who “couldn’t concentrate” became absorbed.
Children who were “behind” started catching up quicker than anyone expected.

The moment I realised progress comes from matching your teaching to your child’s brain — not a pre-printed plan.
