Comment “POSTURE” for my free guide to improving your posture If you have a rounded shoulder posture, your shoulders become internally rotated. Over time, staying in this position this causes tightness of the internal rotators (like the pecs for one) and weakness of the external rotators (like the rotator cuff). We first need to create length through the tight internal rotators with strengthening & mobility. A simple doorway stretch is a great place to start. Hold 15-30 seconds 3 times. Then we need to strengthen the external rotators of the shoulder so that we can create lasting change in the posture. For effective strengthening, you should be hitting full fatigue at the end of 6-10 reps, so choose your resistance accordingly. Your goal is 3 sets of your exercise.
