Habits I practise to reduce negative thinking 1.No complaining This doesn’t mean pretending everything’s fine. It means catching myself before I spiral into pointless negativity. Complaining trains your brain to look for problems. Gratitude and responsibility train it to look for solutions. 2 The 10-second rule When a negative thought pops up, I give it 10 seconds. Acknowledge it. Then decide whether it actually deserves my energy. Most thoughts fade when you don’t feed them. 3 “What if it works out?” My mind naturally jumps to worst-case scenarios. So l consciously balance it with a better question. Fear shrinks when you allow space for possibility. 4 Avoid comparison Comparison is the fastest way to kill progress. Someone else’s chapter has nothing to do with yours. I remind myself: different timelines, different paths, same destination.
