i was ready to be a mom in 2022 but wasn’t married to my husband yet, so I started focusing on preconception after I reversed my gut + thyroid/hormone issues years prior. 2023 started preparing my body for conception in 2025 ❤️‍🔥 3+ years of working with my mineral reserves, detoxing my heavy metals, full moon parasite cleanses, hypnotherapy and acupuncture, functional health tests, living low-tox, eating grass fed and organic, no alcohol, fertility awareness method for years, no birth control since 2019…the whole she-bang …I’m a root cause practitioner and integrative health coach so I crossed off all my preconception boxes across those years We began being open to conceiving Aug 2025 We had a few months of no luck Then, got my first positive test in Nov !! 4 weeks and 4 days of being pregnant and just like that, it was gone and a period came. A couple months of trying again and then I decided to “pause” for a little mental and emotional break. At the same time I chose to pause, I also knew I was choosing to let go of a possible 2026 baby. Ok- I have been holding onto this article for a while- but I think it's sooo important- (can see study at end of video)🩺 PCOS is on the rise- while it's my story😢 and that of my family - it's also an epidemic... I meet more and more young women struggling with symptoms of missing periods, belly fat, inflammation, acne, hair loss, infertility and so much more- but are DISMISSED- because they don't have cysts in their ovaries. You do not - I repeat - do not need to have cysts on your ovaries to have PCOS. This is a metabolic, inflammatory disorder- and the epidemic is actually due to - Our environment, stress and in utero environment. That's right it's cortisol driving all of this inflammation- and then skewing towards high androgens. But a good hormone plan addresses this- as I discuss in my latest book, The Hormone Shift, and a holistic approach that covers all the things driving cortisol- is critical. So let me do it for you ❤️ and all you have to do is is #Saveit to refer if and when you start your pre-conception journey ✅Remember your body is like soil in which a seed ( your foetus) will be growing one day. FUELING that soil begins min 3 months and ideally 1 year pre-conception Nourishing yourself according to your monthly cycles is one of the best ways to optimise your body for fertility 👇🏽 ⚡️Stage A Day 1 to 5- Menstruation is the time to replenish lost nutrients. So focus on Iron-rich food with Vit C for better iron absorption and don’t forget to supplement with Magnesium and B vitamins ⚡️Stage B: Day 5 to 12 Follicular phase is when you are fuelling up and building the uterus lining for ovulation or growth. Complex carbohydrates like sweet potatoes and Vit B rich food like eggs go a long way ⚡️Stage C: Day 12 -15 Ovulation is a phase which takes a lot of energy and infact the process is inflammatory.
