Deadlines give our brain urgency. They help us focus. And research shows that people who impose deadlines on themselves consistently outperform those who don’t. So, if you want a simple productivity boost? Try this → The Productivity Tracker. We use it with our students and it works wonders. Here’s how it works: 1. Grab a sheet of paper or open a doc. Split it into two columns. 2. In the left column, list time blocks (e.g. 30min, 1hr). 3. In the right column, list the task(s) you want to complete in each block. Then: - Set a timer. - Work with focus. - Tick off what you complete. - Didn’t finish something? Move it into the next block. It’s like creating your own accountability partner. You’re monitoring your actions and progress, which helps build motivation, self-control, and (most importantly) momentum.
