BEFinding my voice again. Before I became a meteorologist, I was a professional singer. In addition to my private voice work, I also serve as a voice consultant for Six O’Clock Studios Talent Agency. They send me artists who are already very good—and need help with the last 5%.

VIThere was a time not too long ago when everyone sang regularly especially in Ireland. Now you have to be a professional singer or else you get called ‘brave’ if you get up and sing. But singing is such a joyful way to express what’s going on with you and to give yourself an endorphin buzz and to lift your spirits. It doesn’t cost anything to sing and you can do it almost anywhere! One of the absolute best ways for processing grief is to express yourself physically so it’s been really really helpful for me. There’s still a lot of stigma around singing ‘well’ or badly but we need to get over it and just feel the fear and do it anyway! I am eternally grateful to @thegingerman222 @glenhansard for suddenly and unexpectedly inviting me to sing #fairytaleofnewyork with him last night. It’s very emotional for me to hear @shanemacgowanofficial s songs but it’s surprisingly healing to sing them, it makes me feel more connected with him. Joy 🤩 is so much sweeter when it’s unexpected!!! Bless your heart ❤️ Glen
