Train your triceps the right way - Here’s how to hit all three parts: For the side and middle of your tricep: Set the cable high up, grab the rope with your palms facing each other, and push down. You’ll feel it mostly in the side and center of your upper arm (that’s the lateral and medial heads). For the back part of your tricep: Set the cable low, turn around so it’s behind you, grab the rope, and press it up over your head. This targets the long head, which runs along the back of your arm. Another way to hit the long head: Don’t use the rope. Just grab the cable handle by the small ball at the end. Lean forward a bit, keep your arm behind you, and straighten it out.
