4 ways YOU can start neutralizing foods✨(& heal your relationship with food) 1️⃣ Plate your “fear food” directly next to something you view as a “safe food.” This will break down that barrier in your mind separating the two. 2️⃣ Keep your fear foods in your house at all times! This will remind you that you can have the food at ANY time. No need to feel deprivation around that food or save it for special events. 3️⃣ Early on, you may need to cover up the calories on food labels all together or just not look at them. A lot of times we can associate high calories with a “bad” food, when really we’re missing out on key nutrients and FUN. 4️⃣ Reintroduce your fear foods SLOWLY. This will be a process, so no need to go all in over night. But see what you can do to start incorporating more of the foods you’ve been restricting. #intuitiveeating #antidiet #dietculture #rd2b #bodyacceptance #foodfreedom #weightgain #fearfood #edrecovery

Read if you stress about calories ➡️ I used to spend A LOT of time on adding up the calories from all the foods I've eaten. If I ate too many at the start of the day I had to strategize how to equal it out the rest of the day (basically live off vegetables🥬🥦🍅 - not very filling😣)⁠ If I was going to a party or restaurant in the evening, I had to 'save my calories' to earn the food I wanted to eat. I was hungry and moody during the day and would often end up eating WAY past my caloric allowance once I allowed myself to eat 😥- cue the guilt and feeding my emotions of defeat and shame with MORE food!⁠ It was exhausting! There about a million and one things to get done in life - spending such a huge chunk of my brain energy on calculating calories was one big energy suck🤯! Ya feel me?⁠ Calorie counting was actually one of the first food rules I let go off and it was an immediate relief to let go of this unnecessary burden 🙌 - because its a WASTE OF TIME! Why?? Because 👇 1.calories is just a measure of energy - that doesn't tell you if you’ll enjoy the food and how it will make our body feel.  2.Your hunger tells you when you need energy, your fullness tells you when you’ve had enough. You don't need to calculate, you need to listen to your body (if you are disconnected from these cues it can be hard to do this and you’ll need to practice some logic here as well to eat consistently. Or seek help from a professional) 3. You need that mental space for more important things in life, my dear! You were never made o be a calculator! You can eat well without stressing over calories or worrying about the nutrition facts label. If you needed a sign to prioritize nourishment or rest (or both) this week, consider this it. 💫 Here are some things you can do: — Set a reminder on your phone to grab a snack mid-afternoon — Actually block a lunch/snack break into your calendar — Set your phone to do not disturb after 8pm so you can actually rest — Check in with fullness after a meal. Did you eat enough? Do you need something else? — Take a nap on the weekend. You deserve it! I also acknowledge that both of these things require major privilege to acquire as well. For some people, it’s not quite as simple to just “eat more food” or take a day off. 💗

Over half of my clients come from Google… Remember when Instagram went down last October? Outside of this platform, how do clients find you? I’m asking because I think most of us who have online businesses feel like we have to constantly be leveraging ourselves & our services on this platform. That’s actually not true, regardless of how many business coaches are telling you that you have to have an amazing social media strategy. Does it help? Yes. But it’s not the only way to market yourself. One thing I did when I was starting my business that has made a HUGE difference for me in how potential clients find me: I built my website on Squarespace, started a blog on that website, and drove traffic to it regularly. How has that paid off? If you google “Nutrition Jackson, Wyoming” - my website is the first result. My website isn’t perfect, but it works. It’s personable, and it’s easy to navigate. I also don’t use Linktree - I created a links page on my website instead to use as my “link in bio” option. @chloecreativestudio & I talked about little tweaks like this when I was on her Brand & Brew podcast (go listen to that episode on Spotify for some other marketing insights 😎 - there's also a link to it on my blog). RDs & RDs2B: You don’t have to have a website, but if you’re not taking advantage of marketing strategies outside of social media…what will you do when it crashes? Want some help with this?
