Why does a capacitor allow more current at higher frequency? 🤔 Capacitive reactance decreases as frequency increases because the capacitor gets less time to charge and discharge in each cycle. As a result, the opposition to AC reduces and current increases. This experiment shows how changing capacitance and inductance affects a series RLC circuit. When we remove the capacitors one by one (connected in parallel), the total capacitance decreases. And when we insert more ferromagnetic material inside the solenoid, the inductance increases. Both these changes directly affect the behavior of the circuit — especially resonance, current, and response. But inside a resistor, atoms are packed in a way that makes electrons collide more often. More collisions = more opposition to current. That opposition is called resistance.
