SO❌Don’t ask for figure skates for Christmas/ buy someone figure skates unless you know these things!❌ I may be a little too late to the game with this but if you’re thinking about buying someone figure skates for the holidays, avoid making these mistakes 👇
1. Incorrect sizing: figure skates are NOT sized the same as shoes! Please know the correct skate size to get (it will not be the same as sneaker size!)
2. Avoid buying super cheap skates on Amazon that are not from the brands listed in this video! Especially if the person you’re buying skates for wants to take lessons and practice regularly!
3. Don’t buy figure skates without consulting with a skate tech and coach first!
@jackson.ultima has a GREAT affordable beginner line of figure skates.
@edeaskates @risportskates @riedell.ice @graffigure also are all very reputable in the figure skating world!
The cheap skates from Amazon are great for recreational skating, but not for those who are taking lessons and will be practicing regularly! Follow for more figure skating videos!
