CBNew York City's highly anticipated "Rental Ripoff" hearings kicked off Thursday in Brooklyn. The meetings are designed to give renters a chance to voice their concerns from unexpected fees to unsafe living conditions.
It was the first of five hearings scheduled from now through April.
More than 150 tenants attended the event, with slots for one-on-one sessions filling up quickly and lines forming before the doors even opened. It included a resource fair with tables staffed by various city agencies.

MIAm I missing something here, or does this not look right? 👀 spotted at a Woolies Metro in Brisbane.
I love shopping at Woolies and Bondi Sands is a really cool brand but this made me really sad 😔. How is it that in this day and age companies can get away with calling something something else and charging DOUBLE FOR IT 😮. With the cost of living crisis, and sunscreen being an absolute necessity in Australia, I would have thought companies should be doing better.
Clever marketing? No, they are ripping people off. If I'm really not missing something here, then Bondi Sands should do better to not have false advertising and inflating their products for no reason, and Woolies should be doing due diligence on the brands they stock.
