Here's a detailed budget breakdown for your Rishikesh. 🚍Reaching Rishikesh: Board a bus from Delhi to Rishikesh (one way journey starts at Rs 500). Check on @redbus or https://www.utconline.uk.gov.in/ (Govt. Website) 💰 Cost for 2 way journey=500×2=Rs 1000 🏡Stay: Rishikesh is known for it's hostel culture & you can get a dorm bed for as low as Rs 200 in the off season. I've stayed at Joey's hostel last August & in Madpackers Rishikesh this May & both are great options! 💰Stay for 3 days=200×3=Rs 600 🍜Food: Skip the cafes & hit the local restaurants (highly recommend Purple Dhaba) to wrap up your daily meals within budget. 💰Food for 3 days=400×3=Rs 1200 🛵Exploring Rishikesh: The best way to explore Rishikesh is by renting a scooty which you can get for as low as Rs 300 during weekdays (except peak season months). Split the scooty & petrol cost with a fellow traveler at your hostel. 💰Scooty rental for 3 days=300×3/2=Rs 450 💰Fuel cost for 3 days=400/2=Rs 200 (Considering you're splitting the costs) 🌊River rafting: If you're not visiting on weekends during peak season, rafting wouldn't be expensive. While we did rafting at May end for Rs 800 for 16km, many people had informed me that you can easily negotiate & get it for as low as Rs 300 for a 9km stretch (or even 16km if your negotiation skills are really good 😉) 💰Miscellaneous costs: This would include your shared auto transfer from bus stand to hostel, entry fees for Neergarh falls, Beatles aashram, etc. Of course, the more number of activities you do, the more would be your expenditure. #budgettravel #rishikesh #uttarakhand #travelreel
