CAWhat I really thought of Rob Brydon
From day one on the show I just knew that he was going to be a laugh, he just has that air about him . We only ever got to see and interact with Rob at the challenges and the bus evictions. Every time we did he was wearing a distinguished outfit . He always looked very smart but there was also always room for a bit of banter and we exchanged this whenever we could . It was great , it broke down any barriers he never once acted as a star , just like a normal bloke but very witty. We seemed to be on the same wavelength , both of us would laugh whenever banter was exchanged . I thought he done a great job as he has never done this type of presenting before but he could change from stern gamesmaster to let’s have a giggle in a second .The scene in the Police station I think really captures this when I start to whisper so nobody else can hear and he whispers back and then gives me some stick about sounding like Ray Winston when I leave . Think he is a great choice to present Detination X and one of the reasons the show has been so successful . It really was a pleasure whenever we saw him, until I got me marching orders from the bus . I broke down a bit in Monaco , just because I had enjoyed my time so much on the bus , just hanging out , I never really felt any pressure . I shook his hand at the end , tears rolling my cheeks and I could see Rob was touched too , he thanked me for being a great contestant and I thanked him for being a great host .
