ROHere’s 3 other beginner tips for rollerblading:
1. Bend and try to grab your knees when you feel like you are losing your balance. This will make sure you don’t fall backwards.
2. Stopping: the easiest way of stopping is using the heel brake by lifting your toes up and applying pressure with your heel on the brake. If you don’t have a heel brake you can try the Plow Stop by slowly opening your legs and tracing a circle by bringing back your skate starting with the toes. The friction of the wheels on the road will slow you down.
3. Always look in the direction your are going. When you skate backwards, look over your shoulders to make sure you’re not going into a wall or something!
