__While social media might show there’s a ‘proper’ way to adventure on two wheels - the freshest gear, the newest bike, the lightest kit - Roll Models wants to show that you can go your own way.
You do not need any special kit or skills to join the programme. Just a bike and a curiosity to connect and learn. We have a gear library full of incredible bikepacking luggage and camping equipment, generously donated by folks like @tailfincycling @restrap, and so much combined knowledge and passion to get you rolling.
Whether your bikepacking goals are to race ultra-distance or to take it slow and connect with nature, we’re here to remove barriers and create a space where all are invited to grow confidence and knowledge.

Professionally trained Roll Models who LOVE what they do!
Our Roll Models have the most highly qualified and diverse backgrounds than any other children’s program in WNY!
Twelve of our Roll Models hold Bachelors or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Physical Education, Special Education, Marketing, Sociology, Public Health, Nursing, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Dance Performance, Communications, Occupational Therapy, and Business. We have four Roll Models on staff who have teaching certificates and we even have a Roll Model with Montessori teaching certification.. One also has a minor in ASL and deaf studies and is working towards becoming a Certified Child Life Specialist.
Another twelve are currently working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy Physical therapy, Family and Child Studies, Early Childhood Education, Heath and Wellness, Elementary Education, Exercise Science, Health and Human Services.
In addition to formal education and degrees, our Roll Models all hold special skills and interests. We have a Roll Model who toured with Sesame Street Live as Zoe, and two who work as Dance Teachers and choreographers. One of our Roll Models has vast experience in the field of Children’s Enrichment, teaching and managing at various kids gyms and programs nationwide before returning to WNY. One has volunteered at Oishei on floors 11 and 12 and at Roswell in the Pediatrics clinic. We have Roll Models with personal experience in gymnastics, and former coaches. We have Roll Models who are substitute teachers, who have coached various sports, and have worked at camps all over WNY. Two of our Roll Models love running and have completed many half marathons, sometimes together!
