DRRetinopathy of Prematurity (ROP)
Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is a condition that affects the eyes of premature babies. It happens when abnormal blood vessels grow in the retina, the light-sensitive tissue at the back of the eye.
ROP is most common in babies who are born very early or who have low birth weight. The risk of ROP increases the earlier a baby is born and the lower their birth weight.
There is no cure for ROP, but early diagnosis and treatment can help to prevent blindness. Babies who are at risk for ROP will have regular eye exams. If ROP is detected early, treatment with laser therapy or injections can help to prevent the retina from detaching.
If you have a premature baby, talk to your doctor about the risk of ROP and the importance of regular eye exams.

Han ın Rop muayeneleri doğduğu haftadan itibaren 2 haftada 1 düzenli yapıldı. Burdaki sıkı takip için yenidoğan doktorlarımıza teşekkür etmeden geçemeyeceğim. Hepsine minnettarım.
Han ın Rop muayeneleri sonrası gözü level 1-2 arası gidip geldi. Taburculuk sonrası 3 haftada 1 muayene olmaya devam ettik herşey prematüreliğe göre normaldi. Rop Level 1 di.
Taburcu olduktan sonr Han yaz mevsiminde Bocavirüs oldu. Ve gözü çok hızlı kaymaya başladı. O zamana kadar çok hafif bir kayması vardı. Büyüdükçe düzelmesi beklenen bir kaymaydı. Hemen özel muayenesi olan bir doktor gittik. Ön görme Rop ve kayma muayenesi yaptı. Maalesef asitgmat da varmış yani gözlüğü numaralı. Kayma biraz azaldı diye düşünüyorum tekrardan kontrole gideceğiz.
