In dono mein ek scientific difference hai. Reflection ya Problem Solving ka focus hota hai “Solution” par. Aap sochte ho taaki aap koi action le sako. Lekin Rumination ka focus hota hai “Distress” par. Aap ek hi negative thought, ek hi purani galti, ya ek hi imaginary argument ko dimaag mein loop par chalate rehte ho without any result. Psychologically, ye ek maladaptive coping mechanism hai. Jab hum stress mein hote hain, humara dimaag control wapas paane ki koshish karta hai situations ko over-analyze karke. Hume lagta hai ki agar hum iske baare mein aur sochenge, toh hume answer mil jayega. Par Rumination humare dimaag ke “Default Mode Network” ko activate rakhta hai, jo humein past regrets aur future anxieties mein phasa kar rakhta hai.
