Your microcontroller might be perfect… but your power line might not be. When digital chips switch states, they draw sudden bursts of current. Without a decoupling capacitor, the power line can ripple and inject noise directly into the circuit. That’s when you see: ❌ unstable circuits ❌ noisy ADC readings ❌ random resets The fix is simple: Place a decoupling capacitor close to the IC’s power pins. It acts like a tiny local energy reservoir, supplying current instantly when the chip needs it. Small component. Huge difference.
