In classical physics, if a ball does not have enough energy to pass over a hill, it will stop in front of it. However, at the level of extremely small particles like electrons, this rule does not always apply. Because particles also behave like waves (according to the concept of Wave–Particle Duality), there is a small probability that part of the particle’s “wave” appears on the other side of a barrier. This means the particle can seemingly pass through a wall without breaking it. This phenomenon is known as quantum tunneling, an important concept in Quantum Mechanics. #sciences #physics #quantumphysics #quantumtunneling #sciencefacts #scienceshorts #didyouknow #mindblowing #spaceandscience #physicsfacts #stem #learnonsocial #scienceexplained #shorts #youtubeshorts

NASA never “explored the ocean” in the same way it explores space, but it did fund and operate oceanographic research programs for certain Earth sciences, often using satellites, submersibles, and remote sensing. Over time, much of the direct ocean exploration was transferred to agencies like NOAA, the Navy, and private research institutions, because NASA’s primary mandate is space and planetary science, not deep-sea research. Budget priorities, high costs, and the technical difficulty of operating submersibles also shifted focus toward satellites and Earth-observing instruments, which can monitor oceans from space for temperature, currents, and ecosystem changes more efficiently. NASA still contributes indirectly to ocean science—for example, by tracking sea level rise, ocean color, and climate data—but hands-on deep-sea expeditions are now mostly handled by organizations whose mission is specifically oceanography.

🐜 Ants Just Beat Humans at Teamwork (Seriously) - A new study in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) from the Weizmann Institute of Science, led by Ofer Feinerman, revealed something wild: so-called “crazy ants” outperformed humans when navigating a bulky T-shaped object through a maze. 🤯 Instead of one smart leader, the ants used powerful swarm principles: • Group memory — the colony “remembers” solutions collectively • Self-organization — order emerges from simple local interactions • Adaptive navigation — real-time problem-solving as a team Why this matters 👇 These same principles could transform warehouse robotics, search-and-rescue missions, and automated manufacturing. But here’s the big unanswered question: 👉 What’s really holding multi-robot systems back — communication limits (latency & bandwidth) or our still-primitive distributed memory algorithms? A student was caught cheating during an exam at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) using an unusual method. He had hidden a mobile phone inside his Crocs in an attempt to secretly access information during the test. The act raised suspicion during routine monitoring at the exam centre. Invigilators noticed his unusual movements and behavior, which led them to conduct a quick check. During the inspection, the concealed phone was discovered inside his footwear, confirming the cheating attempt. Following the discovery, the student was immediately stopped from continuing the examination. Authorities acted quickly to prevent any unfair advantage and maintain strict exam discipline. The incident highlights how candidates are trying new and creative ways to bypass rules, while exam authorities continue to strengthen vigilance. Cases like this show the importance of strict monitoring to ensure fair and transparent examinations. #viralvídeo #student

The Academy Awards, commonly called the Oscars, were first held in 1929 in Los Angeles. The event was created by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements in the film industry. The first ceremony honored films released between 1927 and 1928 and was attended by around 270 guests. Over time, the Oscars expanded in scope and categories, reflecting the growth of cinema and the Hollywood film industry. The award statue, officially named the Academy Award of Merit, became a widely recognized symbol of excellence in filmmaking. Today, the Academy Awards recognize achievements in acting, directing, writing, production, and technical fields. The ceremony documents the history of cinema, marking important developments in storytelling, technology, and film culture across decades. NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope has revealed PSR J2322-2650b, a Jupiter-sized exoplanet that defies standard planetary science. This world orbits a dense pulsar at a blistering distance of only 1 million miles, completing a "year" in just 7.8 hours. Its atmosphere is a bizarre mix of helium and molecular carbon, filled with soot clouds. Scientists believe the extreme pressure could lead to diamond formation within its atmosphere—a composition never before observed. This discovery provides a rare look at how planets survive in the radiation-heavy environments of dead stars, challenging our understanding of planetary evolution. #NASA #spacex #jameswebb #exoplanet #spacediscovery #pulsar #astronomy #jwst #diamondplanet #spacenews #sciences #pragnyaias #upsc #ias #ips #currentaffairs

Iowa State U Iowa tomato tomato The University of Iowa is a large public research university located in Iowa City, a classic college town built around campus life. Founded in 1847, it’s the state’s flagship university and has a strong academic reputation, particularly in writing, health sciences, and the arts. It’s a Big Ten school, so there’s a major sports culture centered around the Hawkeyes, especially football at Kinnick Stadium, where game days become city-wide events. Academically, Iowa is best known for the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, one of the most prestigious creative writing programs in the world, which has produced numerous Pulitzer Prize winners and well-known authors. The university also has highly regarded programs in nursing, medicine, public health, business, and engineering. Because it’s a research university, there’s a strong emphasis on undergraduate research and professional preparation, but it still maintains that classic Midwestern campus feel. The campus itself blends traditional brick buildings with modern facilities and sits right along the Iowa River. The environment tends to feel friendly, grounded, and community-oriented. Social life revolves around sports, Greek life, downtown Iowa City, and student organizations. Compared to huge coastal universities, Iowa often feels more accessible and tight-knit, but it still offers the scale and opportunities of a major research institution. Overall, the University of Iowa combines Big Ten athletics, strong creative and health programs, and a traditional college-town atmosphere in a way that feels distinctly Midwestern and community-focused. #viral #fyp #iowa #big10 meme
