Fun fact: The loudest sound in recorded human history wasn't man-made-it was the 1883 volcanic eruption of Krakatoa. The explosion was so cataclysmically powerful that the sound wave traveled around the globe four times, and the blast itself was heard clearly nearly 3,000 miles away (the equivalent of someone in New York hearing a noise from Dublin). The pressure wave from the eruption was so immense that it literally circled the Earth for five days, and barometers worldwide fluctuated with each pass. It was a sound, scientists estimate, that would have instantly ruptured eardrums up to 40 miles away. #sciencedaily #scienceexplained #scienceworld #scientific

The 3-in-1 Popcorn Secret. Finding three bags inside one, a boy discovered a clever hack: two held corn and salt, while a hidden third bag released butter when squeezed. This simple trick produced perfectly crispy popcorn in no time. #simple #china🇨🇳 #food #scientific #technology

The post reimagines the mathematical constant pi's approximation (3.14) as a metaphor for inevitable reunions, paired with a 14-second video of rotating wireframe spheres and grids where theta angles trace pi's digits, evoking cosmic cycles. Posted by @Kekius_Sage, a self-described expert in physics and mathematics, it exploded to 2.7 million views within hours, drawing from the author's pattern of blending science with philosophical visuals. Replies engage deeply with pi's irrationality-never repeating or closing perfectly-prompting reflections on fleeting encounters in orbits or lives, supported by a 2019 study in Physical Review Letters on quasiperiodic paths in dynamical systems. #maths #mathematical #fyp #foryou #physics #scientific

Briefly: The image shows the test rods of the Chernobyl Nuclear Reactor. In the image on the left, they appear as they should, but their irregular appearance in the image on the right suggests a problem. More awaits you in my account! For those who are curious: The control rods at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant played a critical role in the 1986 accident. Their primary function was to slow down or completely stop nuclear fission in the reactor. Control rods are made from neutron-absorbing materials such as boron, silver, and indium, and as they are inserted into the reactor core, they suppress the chain reaction. The control rods in the RBMK-type reactors used at Chernobyl had a serious design flaw. The tips of the rods were not neutron absorbers, but made of graphite. Graphite is a material that slows down neutrons, increasing the probability of fission. Therefore, when the control rods first entered the core, instead of calming the reactor, they briefly increased reactivity. During the 1986 experiment, when the emergency shutdown system was activated, the control rods simultaneously began descending into the core. However, because the graphite tips entered the core first, a sudden and very powerful surge of power occurred at the bottom of the reactor. This unexpected surge became uncontrollable within seconds, triggering the process that led to the reactor's explosion.Furthermore, it took a considerable amount of time for the control rods to fully enter the core in RBMK reactors. This slowness made it difficult to quickly shut down the reactor in an emergency. Both the graphite tip design and the mechanical delay transformed the control rods from a safety device into a significant part of the disaster in the Chernobyl accident. Following the accident, the design of the control rods in RBMK reactors was modified, the graphite tips were removed, and the emergency shutdown systems were accelerated. This event is considered one of the most striking examples of how even seemingly small details in nuclear reactor design can have enormous consequences. #Chernobyl #nuclear #mystery #reactor #scientific less

💧 Masaru Emoto (1943–2014) was a Japanese researcher who explored how human consciousness affects the molecular structure of water. He discovered that water exposed to positive words, loving intentions, prayers, or harmonious music formed beautiful, symmetrical crystals when frozen, while water exposed to negativity created chaotic, distorted patterns. His work reminds us that our thoughts, words, and emotions carry energy and that this energy shapes the world around us. 🌊✨ We are mostly made of water, so imagine how powerful our vibrations truly are. 🌸 If this resonates, please like, share, and follow to support our work and help spread more conscious awareness 🌍💫 #masaruemoto #fyp #powerofthemind #scientific #lawofattraction
