DOlol I used to work in a bunch of these buildings — almost all of them have SCIF areas (secure information compartmented facilities). Half the time you don’t even get walked for sprinkler head or pipe checks because of clearance issues. Hopefully this is just a small incident or maybe someone knocked off a sprinkler… either way, it’s a bad situation. Feel for the crews dealing with it, because even the regular fire department can’t always get full access until security clears them.

NIThe Waterberg Plateau in central Namibia, Africa is home to one of the densest wild rhino populations of both black and white rhino in the world. They are also protected by one of the most robust anti-poaching units in the world (which is funded in large part by hunter dollars) and by policy efforts supported by @official_sci. Seeing this big old bull today in such a relaxed state (and from the safety of the truck) was a thrill since we usually encounter them on foot out in the bush which is way more scary! 🤣 It’s awesome to see conservation at work.
