Arms Raised in Sukasana •Hold - 10-60 seconds 2. Side bend in Sukasana •Both hips touching to the floor. 3. Backbend in Sukasana • pressing hands push the chest towards the sky. 4. Cat Pose in Sukasana •Roll Your back as much as you can 5. Parivrtta Sukasana • Back hand in line of spine on the floor • ⁠back straight • ⁠using your hands twist your upper body as much as you can 6. Baddha Konasana (Butterfly Pose) •Back straight 7. Janushirasana (Head to Knee Pose) (10-60 seconds hold) • Both hips in one line • Alignment of legs is right angle • both shoulders will come in one line while bending 8. Parivrtta Janu Shirasana •Open the leg sideways •Back straight 9 . Paschimottanasana (Seated forward fold) (10-60 seconds) • back straight • shoulder relaxed while bending forward. • knees pressed on the floor • lengthen your spine and bend forward. BEGINNER Tip - You can bend till where you are comfortable, but keep the back straight and hold there. Then in every practice try to improve and push harder according to your comfort. 10. Now this is a sure-fire way to hamstring DOMS😅 Whilst it’s totally fine to lean back whilst doing a seated leg curl, taking a forwards lean put the hamstrings in an even more lengthened position at the top when the legs are straight. ⚠️Keep your spine neutral, folding at the hips rather than rather than bending through your back! why is it different than a normal standing or seated overhead press? well when your standing, you have the power and drive from your legs to help lift the weight overhead. & when your seated against a bench, you have the support against your back, allowing you to focus less on stabilizing your core & more on pressing heavy weight. with a Z press, you are removing the stability of a bench and the power of the legs, requiring significantly more core engagement/strength, as well as hip mobility to keep yourself upright & press the weight overhead. you could make it even more challenging by doing it one arm at a time. so which version is the best? totally depends on your goals. all have their different benefits & all are great exercises. I like to incorporate all 3 and switch it up every few weeks. if you don’t have any specific goals, do whatever one you think is the most fun, or all of them, or none of them cause it’s your workout. When I tore my calf muscle earlier this year I didn’t want to give up on my training so I tried seated dumbbell workouts for the first time and let me tell you… they did not disappoint The uptake was huge with so many of you also, finding them useful during rehab or simply for something new to try. I know many of you who have stopped training because of injury or other ailments but we don’t give up. We adapt. Consistency Creates Habits Which Create Change. I always tell my people who are venturing into strength training for the first time to start with either 1 or 2kg dumbbells for upper body and either 4 or 5kg for lower body. This will get you started and once you get stronger you can expand your collection as they’ll always go to good use. My personal set of equipment started small and expanded over time, you don’t need to go ‘gung-ho’ buying everything but honestly, dumbbell’s are so versatile and a lovely bench like I’m sitting on here will see you through for YEARS. I cannot go past @mcsportireland for my equipment as their quality in both equipment and customer support is unmatched! The Workout: 1: cross curl 2: halos 3: see saw press 40 sec on 20 sec off x 4 rounds If your dumbbell weight is compromising your form reduce the weight. Slow and steady will always win the race when it comes to strength training so take your time. Show up consistently and be patient, you’ll be surprised how well you get on over time.
