GRFlying 23 hours while my uterus auditions for the next horror movie role.. lol but seriously, Thank God for outlets because we are not letting an endo flare win today.
Normally we plan trips around my cycle, butttt thanks to hormonal acupuncture shifting things around, day one decided to crash the longest flight of my life, 23 hours in the air. I have been period prepping like it is a full-time job since my laparoscopy, but the mental game is just as real.
About a decade ago, I fainted mid-flight, had a full-blown endo episode before I even knew what to call an endo flare, and ended up vomiting with an oxygen tank in my lap. Iconic. That memory has haunted me ever since, so this year I have been working on mind over matter, leaving fear out of it, and actually trusting my body.
This time we came prepped: acupuncture, PTSD points, ear seeds, all the period survival essentials. So yes, ignore the heating pad cord hanging out of my pants. I would rather look like im walking the airport like I shat my pants than be in pain. #endogirlslay 💅🏼
