Abandoned Six Flags New Orleans… Frozen Since Katrina 🎢 Once filled with laughter, music, and thousands of visitors every summer, Six Flags New Orleans opened in 2000 as Jazzland, built to bring a massive theme park experience to the heart of New Orleans. It was meant to be a symbol of growth and entertainment for the city. 🌊 But in August 2005, Hurricane Katrina changed everything. Floodwaters rose over 6 feet deep across the park, destroying rides, buildings, and electrical systems. The damage was so severe that Six Flags permanently closed its gates, walking away and leaving everything behind. 🕰️ Since then, it’s sat abandoned for nearly 20 years. Rust covers the roller coasters, ticket booths still stand empty, and nature has slowly reclaimed what was once one of the largest theme parks in Louisiana. The best morning of my life for sure. No, getting caught isn’t fun but ever since we took this trip to New Orleans and went inside the abandoned six flags I’ve been chasing that feeling. To be honest I don’t think I’ll ever get it again. It truly seemed after I hit this spot I was much more content with not exploring as much. It felt as if I furfilled some sort of childhood dream. Well it was a dream to go to this location. Never would I have thought I’d get to see it. If I’m being honest with yall too the walk into this place had me about to throw up. I knew we were walking into a trap. Multiple people had hit us up, seeing we were in New Orleans telling us we had no shot and that our footage was going to get taken and deleted due to the demo being started. We said f*ck it and stashed our black sds knowing the chances of us getting caught were much higher then getting out safely. As you can tell from the end of the video they were hunting us the entire time not to our knowledge, when they finally caught us it felt like some sorta cartel execution. They lined us up on the wall, pulled out a camera and started recorded us in landscape while laughing at us. At that point I thought we were cooked. They lets us go tho and told us how to get in the park legally for the last few weeks… bro wanted some $500 or something for an hr of a guided tour in there which is kinda ridiculous but anyways. I appreciate them letting us go as sitting in a New Orleans jail sounds like sh*t. Thanks to everyone that made this mission possible I won’t ever forget this, and will definitely be a story I tell my kids.
