Six kicks ➡️ one arm swings forward and when it enters: stroke back ➡️ three strokes ➡️ back to six kicks. A perfect way to tune your body at the start of a session: rotation ✔️ timing ✔️ weight forward of the arm ✔️ smooth breathing ✔️etc. Add fins for little support (let the body do the work, not the kick/fins!). The wrist play an inportant role in the catch phase. By keeping the wrist straight you’ll get a large surface area; from the fingertips all the way to the elbow and THAT is how we position the arm for creating propulsion when we stroke back. If we bend the wrist, the surface area is limited. Wrap the arm around the water with the whole arm with No bending of the wrist and you’ll feel a BIG difference. And your time will be faster. It’s all about connecting them through the most natural powerful part of the body: THE CORE/HIP. How to do: ✅ When entering the water with one arm, focus on the high hip (same side) rather than the arm itself. The hip is totally ready to be connected into the swimming! Drive the hip down and a bit forward as the arm is entering the water. You will def feel when the core/hip is integrated. This will get you more! Not only using shoulders but abs, obliques, back and glutes. Also a cross-connection will be established. Really really smart swimming. En este video de @simcoachen , vemos una rotación impecable , pero hay un pequeño error justo antes de completar la fase subacuática: su palma gira hacia dentro, lo que hace que parte de la fuerza aplicada se desvíe de forma lateral y no contribuya al avance.🚫 Afortunadamente, en el último instante, corrige la posición, alineando la palma para aplicar la fuerza correctamente y maximizar su deslizamiento. Pero aunque hay recuperado al final no significa que no haya tenido un momento de pérdida. Este tipo de correcciones puede parecer mínimo, pero es clave para mejorar la eficiencia y la velocidad. 🤔 Herramientas como los sensores eo SwimBETTER pueden ayudarte a detectar estos detalles y perfeccionar tu técnica. ❇️ Explicación técnica: 1. Dirección de la fuerza: En la fase de agarre y apoyo, la mano debe aplicar la fuerza en la dirección opuesta al avance, aprovechando la resistencia del agua para generar propulsión eficiente. Cuando la palma rota hacia dentro al final del agarre, parte de esa fuerza se dispersa lateralmente, reduciendo el impulso hacia adelante hasta un 55% en los casos más graves. 2. Corrección: Al final del movimiento, la nadadora recoloca la palma correctamente, permitiendo que la fuerza se aplique de manera más eficiente en la dirección deseada. Este ajuste final evita que el error sea tan grave y minimiza la pérdida de energía. 3. eo SwimBETTER: Esta herramienta ayuda a identificar y corregir estos detalles, proporcionando retroalimentación precisa sobre cómo y dónde se está aplicando la fuerza en cada brazada. De esta forma, permite corregir errores como la rotación de la palma antes de que afecten negativamente al rendimiento. Instead, think of slipping your hand into a glove—gentle but purposeful. 💡 Pro Tip: Keep your wrist slightly bent and relaxed for a paddle-like effect. 💪 Step 2: The Pull This is where power meets efficiency.
