Just hanging around with this two-toed sloth at Fame Park in Dubai! 🦥💚 You might think being upside down would be uncomfortable, but for them, that’s actually their “right side up.” Sloths are built for a life spent suspended from branches, their organs are positioned differently inside their bodies, with their stomachs, livers, and even spleens shifted to accommodate hanging. Their long curved claws act like natural hooks, locking into place so they can hang effortlessly without using any muscle energy. Even their hair grows in the opposite direction from other mammals, parting down their belly so rainwater can run off while they’re inverted. So when you see a sloth hanging, just know that’s their version of standing upright! 🌿✨
