Waiting for all of the mid size mummas with mum tums to find me so we can all be friends, fi d our confidence again and wear cute outfits 🥰💗 As a mum of two (two c sections) my tummy has grown my beautiful children and I will be forever grateful 🥰 But my body is not what it used to be and I have accepted that. I’m currently 3 months postpartum so my body is still changing but I’ve decided I’m not going to wear loose clothing or only skater dresses to hide my body in the mean time because society says I should “bounce back” from giving birth so quickly. I’m going to wear what I want and what I like and if you have an issue with that, it sounds like a you problem 🙃 I started sharing finding my style again in 2022 after having my first child because I was so lost and didn’t know what to wear 😭 And now I share outfit ideas for those with similar size / shape bodies so we can know what things look like on us as our bodies aren’t too represented in the media or on websites. When I saw this clip of me, I almost wanted to delete it. I thought, who would want to see a soft bloated belly doing Pilates in a size 0 world? As a size 12, I don’t fit the mold at all to share wellness content and I think that’s exactly why I need to share this sort of stuff. As a midsize woman, I can either love my body as is or lose the weight as quickly as possible. Unfortunately my weight loss journey has been slow and I am not the best at changing my diet truth be told. But my body is still worthy of viability and my journey is one worth sharing. You don’t have to look a particular way to focus on wellness. A lot of the work I’m doing has been internal. Journaling, prayer, therapy and daily movement have made a huge difference already. What is the biggest lie you’ve told yourself about your weight loss journey? I’ll go first! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I CAN’T DRESS CUTE UNTIL I LOSE WEIGHT 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have to wear sleeves, my arms are too round. I have to hide my stomach, there are too many stretch marks. I can’t wear clothes that make my body feel celebrated, because everything has to meet the “check list” before I can even get to the color + style + fit. Sleeves ✔️ Below the knees ✔️ Covers stomach ✔️ Doesn’t cling + show cellulite or rolls ✔️ Doesn’t draw too much attention ✔️ Those silly little lies 🤦🏻‍♀️ Where did they ever come from? And why did the “big girl” rules only apply to me? Because every time I saw a woman like me wearing a tank top or short dress, they looked just fine! Sure I could see their bodies were similar to mine but something about them was always the thing that kept me from being able to do the same. It’s ok to dress in a way that makes us feel confident. Even if that means we follow those “big girl” rules. But, we deserve to feel beautiful at any size. And, if an outfit makes us feel joyful + celebrated in our bodies, even with those parts we’re still learning to clap for on full display, that’s all anyone is going to see 💃🏻 SPOILER ALERT: It wasn’t what they HAD that let them shine in any style, it was what they DIDN’T HAVE… the suffocating weight of SELF-DOUBT draped over them 🫶🏼 #plussizefashion #curvyfashion #softbelly #plussizestyle #midsizestyle #midsizefashion #plussizetrends #trendyplussize #curvystyle #fashionblogger #mommotivation #momfashion

I’ve spent years feeling self conscious, hiding, thinking I have to ‘tuck it in’ or cover up. But this day felt a little different. I wore what I love, embraced my body as it is (even with the bloat), and tried to not let my insecurities get the best of me. I guess you could call the cropped denim jacket my security blanket lol but it was a cute addition to the spring outfit. I dressed for what works for me and what I felt comfortable in. You know what I say, “some days the stomach cooperates and some days she absolutely does not!” 🤷🏼‍♀️ If you’re navigating perimenopause and a midlife body follow along for more fashion for women 50+ you know the empty nester stage. #amazonstyle #midlifeblogger #women50plus #insecurities #softbelly
