Sometimes it’s not even the equipment… it’s the pressure that comes with the job. ▪︎You’re mixing live, but in your head you’re still second-guessing every level. You’re constantly thinking… what if the mic drops out right in the middle of a speech? ▪︎Then you walk into a new venue and have to figure out the acoustics on the spot,,,no time to fully test, no room for mistakes. ▪︎Setup time comes and suddenly there are last-minute equipment issues, a cable not working, a signal acting up, something not connecting the way it should. And you still have to fix it fast before the event starts. ▪︎During the event, you’re adjusting everything in real time, balancing voices, music, and instruments, while making sure nothing clips, nothing feeds back, and everything stays clean. All this… while the audience and client expect perfect sound from start to finish like it just happens naturally. The truth is, a lot goes on behind the scenes to make it look that easy.
