MRThe question I am asked most about my setup is how it’s all synced and looped from every keyboard. I remember 10+ years ago I would dream of a device that could let me play my synths and loop them all once with MIDI instead of audio but nothing seemed capable enough to handle everything….. then my prayers were answered with the original @squarpinstruments Pyramid sequencer. The Pyramid was everything I needed to control the studio and eventually I ended up with 2 to handle even more gear!
I actually still have both Pyramids and despite their awesome capabilities there was still a few limitations keeping me from doing everything I wanted— that’s where ***HAPAX*** comes in. It essentially replaced both my pyramids and gives me much more control for pattern changes, variations, and song building. In almost every way the Hapax is a huge upgrade to the Pyramid, and it’s what lets me focus on making music and playing keys instead of clicking in notes and making a chore out of things.
Here’s a very short demo showing a few ways how the Hapax is connected around the studio and how I can build up tracks quickly and easily (even if it’s just drums piano and bass)
