This is my go-to summer green bean dish because the texture is unmatched. If you have more mature beans with bulging seeds, this is a good way to cooked them to get the beans tender. You’ll need: 1 lb green beans 1/2 cup oil (for wok frying method, 1/4 cup for shallow frying, 2 1/2 tbs for air frying) 2 1/2 tbsp minced garlic 1/4 tsp garlic salt (or sea salt) chili crisp (optional, my chili oil is great for this too!) Garlic String Beans Ingredients * 1 lbs string beans * 8-10 garlic cloves * Neutral oil for frying * Salt to taste * 1/2 tsp msg * 1/4 tsp white pepper Instructions 1. Wash and cut the ends off of string beans then thoroughly dry them with a paper towel. 2. Finely mince garlic and heat a wok or pot filled half way with oil until it reaches 375°F. 3. Flash fry string beans in batches for 45 seconds or until they start to blister. Remove and place on a paper towel lined tray. Wait for oil to reheat before frying next batch. 4. Remove oil saving a couple of tbsp to sauté the garlic. On medium heat, sauté garlic until fragrant(1 min) then add the string beans. 5. Perfectly blistered, glossy, salty-sweet, and somehow better than the main dish. If you’ve eaten there, you already know exactly what I’m talking about. Same flavor. Same drama. Zero reservation required. Save this for the next time you want a side dish that steals the show 💚 Recipe below ⬇️ Ingredients 1-2 Lbs fresh green beans trimmed 2 tbsp. avocado oil 8-10 @kosher_taste garlic cloves For the glaze: 3 tbsp. Sesame oil 1/4 cup soy sauce or tamari 2 tbsp sugar or honey 2 small lemons zested and juiced (can use only 1 lemon if you don’t like it too tangy) Salt Optional sesame seeds or chili flakes Instructions Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil Add green beans and cook 5-7 minutes until bright green and crisp Drain and immediately transfer to ice water Process the garlic cloves with the oil till spoonable. Heat a wide skillet or wok over high heat Add oil to coat bottom of pan. Once shimmering add green beans in a single layer Let sit undisturbed 1 to 2 minutes until blistered Toss and repeat once more Add garlic directly to the pan and cook and toss for 1-2 minutes until fragrant Remove green beans to serving bowl. In same dirty pan , add soy sauce coconut sugar and sesame oil . Toss quickly until glossy and sugar is melted Pour over the green beans. Ingredients: 2-3 handfuls Fresh string beans  2 tbs minced garlic  2 tbs butter  Pepper - 2-3 tsp  Pinch of chipotle chili pepper  2 tsp Italian seasoning Instructions: Cook on skillet until string beans are soft - I like my string beans a little charred and hard. Ingredients: • 400 G - French Green Bean • 3 Whole - Garlic Clove • 1 TSP - Kosher Salt • 1 TSP - MSG • 1 TSP - Mushroom Bouillon Powder (added) • 1 1/2 Litre - Neutral Oil Directions: 1. Wash and receive Green Beans. 2. Cut off ends or pick off with your finger. 3. Cut into 2 to 3” pieces, and receive. 4. Crush Garlic Cloves, very finely mince garlic, and receive. 5. Blanch Green Beans for 30 seconds, and shock in an ice bath to keep vibrant green. 6. Pat dry Green Beans or dry over a drip tray for next day. 7. In a wok, shallow fry at 191°C/375°F for 45 seconds. 8. Wok fry on high heat, add Minced Garlic, and toss. 9. Season with Kosher Salt, MSG, and enjoy! Flash-fried to a delicate crispness, then sautéed with a generous heap of minced garlic, these mouth-watering green beans are the ultimate side dish that pairs perfectly with any meal. 🥢 INGREDIENTS: 1 lb green beans 8 cloves garlic, minced 2 cups neutral oil 1 tbsp chili oil 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper DIRECTIONS: - Snap off the ends of the green beans, then wash them thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels. - Heat oil in a wok until it’s hot; you can test it by dipping a chopstick – it’s ready when the end bubbles steadily.  - Add the green beans in batches and fry for 2 minutes until the outside starts to wrinkle. Transfer them onto a plate lined with paper towels. Repeat this process with the remaining batches. - Discard the excess oil, leaving about 2 tbsp in the wok.
