LU❌ Don’t Ruin Your Sujood With This Mistake | Pray the Sunnah Way ✅

In this video, I highlight a common mistake in Sujood that many people make without realizing.
Some lift their feet off the ground, others spread them apart, or place them incorrectly.
But the Sunnah way is to keep both feet firmly on the ground, close together, and toes pointing towards the Qiblah.
The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said:
“When a servant prostrates, seven parts of his body prostrate: his face, his hands, his knees, and his toes.”
(Sahih al-Bukhari 812, Sahih Muslim 490)
Imam al-Nawawi (rahimahullah) explained in Sharh Muslim that it is obligatory to place the toes on the ground in Sujood, facing the Qiblah.
Ibn Qudamah in al-Mughni (1/305) also mentioned that the Sunnah is to keep both feet on the ground and direct the toes towards the Qiblah.
Shaykh Ibn Baz (rahimahullah) likewise emphasized that raising the feet during Sujood is a mistake that goes against the Sunnah.
It is our duty to perform Salah the correct way, because Salah is the foundation of our Deen.
Every detail matters, and even small mistakes can take away from the perfection of our prayer.
That is why I believe we must always seek knowledge and strive to align our worship with the authentic Sunnah.
May Allah accept our Salah and guide us to pray as our beloved Prophet (pbuh) prayed.

EXSujūd (prostration) in prayer has several scientifically supported physical and neurological benefits:
1. Increased blood flow to the brain
When the head is lowered below the heart, gravity can slightly increase cerebral blood circulation. This may improve oxygen delivery and support brain function and alertness.
2. Nervous system regulation
The posture encourages activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (the “rest and calm” system). Slow breathing during prayer reduces cortisol (stress hormone) and lowers heart rate.
3. Stress and anxiety reduction
Regular prayer movements, including sujūd, combine controlled breathing, mindfulness, and humility — similar to meditation — which research shows reduces anxiety and improves emotional regulation.
4. Spine and joint flexibility
The movement stretches the lower back, hips, knees, and ankles, helping maintain mobility and circulation.
5. Psychological grounding
Physically placing the forehead on the ground promotes humility and surrender, which can psychologically reduce ego-driven stress and internal tension.
So beyond its spiritual meaning, sujūd also aligns with principles of circulation, nervous system balance, flexibility, and mental calmness.

LUAre You Standing Up Correctly in Prayer? 🤔
Many people make mistakes when standing up after sujood in prayer.
Some rise quickly without sitting. Others try to push up with their legs only.
The Sunnah teaches us a better way.
When you finish the second sujood and need to stand for the next rakah, you should first sit briefly in a resting position.
This sitting is called Jalsat al-Istirahah.
Then place your hands on the ground for support.
With the help of your hands, rise to the standing position.
This is how the Prophet (PBUH) prayed.
Malik bin Huwairith (RA) reported: “When the Prophet (PBUH) stood up from the two prostrations in an odd number of rakah, he would not stand up until he had sat down.”
Reference: Sahih al Bukhari 823
Abu Humaid al Saidi (RA) described the prayer of the Prophet (PBUH): “When he wanted to stand up after two rakah, he would sit on his left foot, and then he would support himself on the ground before standing.”
Reference: Sunan Abu Dawood 730 | Graded Sahih by Al Albani
This shows clearly that the Sunnah way is to sit first and then use your hands on the ground to stand up.
Standing directly without sitting is not from the Sunnah.
By following this method, we bring our prayer closer to the way of the Prophet (PBUH).
