Older adults who supplemented with 2 grams of daily omega-3 (EPA +DHA) performed better on tests of executive function, had improved white matter microstructural integrity, and increased gray matter volume in their brains after 26 weeks compared to those given a placebo. Additionally, brain-derived neurotrophic factor which is a growth factor involved in learning and memory increased. Another additional study found that ~3.4 g of daily omega-3 (EPA+DHA) led to significantly better cognitive function, including verbal fluency, language, memory, and visual-motor coordination over a 30-month period in older adults with a median age of 63. There is no doubt that omega-3 is important for brain health. The best way to know how if you are getting the right dose of omega-3 is to get an omega-3 index test by someone like OmegaQuant. Most Americans are in the 4% range and 8% range is associated with the most robust health benefits. About 2 grams of EPA/DHA can get about 95% of people from 4% to 8% omega-3 index without necessarily being a ceiling for benefits. Vision boards become ineffective when they are not supplemented with the correct action plan. Simply creating a vision board, and looking at it can amplify the sense of lack/insecurity about your manifestations. In my new e-book, Conquer 2024, I have described three activities that will not only help you get unstuck, but help you build the correct habits to manifest your desires ( very few copies are left). Like I have mentioned in my video, vision boards are only effective for people who have already worked on their self concept. A good definition of self concept is what one thinks of them self. For example, if you think that you have a magnetic personality, you will subconsciously change your body mannerism to appear more confident and speak in a more eloquent manner, thereby attracting more people towards you. Hence, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. So, how can we work on our self concept? This is a big field, however, if we are talking from the point of view of a manifestation, begin by affirming, “I am worthy of ________(my desire)“ and justify it with points. For instance, you want to become famous on Instagram, so you will affirm , “I am worthy of becoming famous on Instagram, because my content is unique, I am sincere and hard-working, and my content actually helps people.” Repeating affirmations can rewire thought patterns by influencing the subconscious mind, reinforcing positive beliefs, and gradually altering behavior. Through consistent repetition, they instill confidence, reshape self-perception, and inspire actions aligned with the affirmed beliefs. Hence, continuing with this examples, I will build the habit of posting more, working on my content and actually crafting content that addresses the pain points of my clients.
