You’re too far back on your board ⚖️ If you’re too far back, paddling feels exhausting and waves slip under you. Slide forward until paddling feels smooth and the board glides. A good cue is to have your toes touching the tail. 2. You’re looking down 👀 Your body follows your head, and your head follows your eyes. Look where you want to go - straight to the beach on whitewater, or down the shoulder on green waves. If you look down, you’re going down. 3. You’re surfing is stiff 🔧 Surfing works best when you work with the wave. Stiff movement often works against it . Soften your knees, loosen your shoulders, and breathe.
