RUFrom the outside, Addverb looks like a decades-old robotics giant.
When you step inside though, it’s something much more interesting. The best way we can describe it is controlled chaos (the kind we’ve seen at every robotics startup we’ve visited so far here at Runtime):
There are half-built robots all over the place. Parts, prototypes, wires, and components on every surface. Engineers are locked in, getting stuff done in deep focus mode. Nothing felt staged, finished, or polished, and that’s actually a very good thing. This is what it looks like when a team is moving as quickly as they can. They don’t care about keeping everything neat and tidy. They’re too busy building.
It’s easy to celebrate polished demos. What’s harder to fully appreciate (but far more important) is everything that happens before the finished product.
