As a Jew who grew up in Israel during the years of the Second Intifada, the word Muslim used to scare me. In my eyes, a Muslim was the Palestinian terrorists who blew themselves up on buses and in restaurants near my home, killing and injuring Jews. Years passed. I moved to the United States and began traveling the world. Since then, I’ve visited several Muslim countries and met Muslims around the globe. In 99% of my experiences, I met warm, friendly people who were happy and curious to meet a Jewish woman from Israel. I didn’t let the small percentage I encountered, those who were ignorant, misinformed, and driven by prejudice, ruin my perspective. Let’s not allow stereotypes and prejudice to guide us. Let’s come with open minds and open hearts to meet people from different religions and cultures. We may discover that most of the world is very different from what we were taught to believe. #jewish #muslim #israel #jewishandproud #identity

The Western world often looks at Nigeria with pity or fear. But looking at these faces, I didn’t see fear. I saw a faith that has been tested by fire and came out as gold. Nations may shake, but the Kingdom cannot be moved. The Nigerian Church is not afraid. I fully believe that when those airstrikes hit on Christmas Day, it wasn’t just military strategy, it was an answer to the cries of the righteous. I fully support the action taken to crush the evil targeting believers. And I can tell you, the Christians on the ground support it too. They know the difference between “peace talks” and actual protection. Peace isn’t the absence of conflict. Sometimes, it’s the destruction of evil. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear...” Psalm 46:1-2 #Nigeria #Jesus #God
